I swam in College at the University of Pittsburgh until 2004 where I hold 3 school records in the 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyle. I graduated with a degree in exercise science and went on to complete my masters in Exercise Physiology.
I am a swim coach for the past 4 years and have coached swimmers that have achieved olypmic trials standards down to first time swimmers.
I was married in 2005 to Ashley and we have a dog named Ivan who reminds us that we are not ready for kids any time soon!
I started triathlons in 2005 after breaking my collarbone in a cycling race in the summer of 04. I was nominated for Amateur of the Year in 2006 and I turned pro in 2007. I won rookie of the year last year and I’m looking to improve in all areas this year!
