I grew up in Czech Republic as a competitive swimmer. At age of 18 I was getting tired of swimming and found  a new sport - triathlon. Coming from swimming background, olympic distance and ITU racing was my obvious choice. I raced ITU for almost 10 years, got podiums at continental cups and top ten at world cup. Highlight of my short distance career was participating at Olympic Games 2004 in Athens.

In 2006 I raced my first Ironman in South Africa. I cycled on road bike, not knowing anything about racing long distance. I finished 4th in 10:19 and swear that I will never do it again. But I was wrong and without even knowing, I was already addicted to it. My best race was at IM South Africa 2009 which I call my home now. I won "my home" race and it was amazing feeling.

Except my own training, I also coach group of triathletes. I am very passionate about coaching and there is no better feeling then if any of my athletes reach their dream.
