December 2, 2007 Ironman Western Australia Brusselton, Australia
Bella Comerford completes this years edition of IMWA in 3rd
place. What a wonderful year it has been for Bella. This is her sixth
Ironman distance race of the year and her last for the season. The race
started with a strong swim only to be plagued by bike troubles. Her
handlebars loosened during the bike and Comerford was forced to stop and
have support repair the problem. However, this did not keep Bella out.
She would finish the bike and run her way in to a podium finish. Not a
bad way to end 2007. Congrats Bella!! We look forward to next year.
Also noteworthy was newly signed ISM athlete, Luke Dragstra’s 9th
place in the men’s event.
November 3, 2007 Ironman Florida Panama City, FL.
Bella Comerford finishes 4th for the day. This was Bella’s sixth year in
a row doing IMFL. She has won the race in year’s past. Bella had a solid
bike and commented how she, “seemed to feel more at ease and comfortable
for the final two hours”, on the bike. Seems that Pink Adamo did
the trick. Bella finished 9:13, her fastest Ironman distance to date.
Way to go girl!! Can’t wait to see what next year brings.
September 15, 2007 Beijing World Cup Triathlon Beijing, China
Laura Bennett finishes 3rd! Not only has Laura podium finished another
World Cup Championship, but finishing as the first American earns her a
spot on Team USA for the Olympics. It’s been three years of very hard
work getting to this point. “We have worked so hard for this result.
It’s so fantastic to finally now be able to say, yes I am an Olympian”,
remarked Bennett. Congrats Laura. We are working on a special edition
Adamo Racing Saddle for you to sport at the Olympics.
September 9, 2007 Ironman Wisconsin Madison, WI
Hillary Biscay podiums again! Hillary had an amazing swim, solid bike,
and held on the run to finish 2nd place. We are proud of you, Hill. Ms.
Biscay’s next event will be the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.
September 1, 2007 ITU Triathlon World Championships Hamburg, Germany
Laura Bennett finishes 3rd!! Approximately 250,000 spectators filled the
streets of downtown Hamburg to watch the event. Laura had a phenomenal
bike, but would eventually lose a little over a minute on the run. “I
knew Vanessa (Fernandes 1st), would catch me and I know where her and
Emma (Snowsill 2nd), are right now. Hopefully in a year’s time I can be
mixing it up with them, but they clearly run a minute into me right now.
It’s great to be back on the podium at Worlds” said Bennett. This is
Laura Bennett’s 4th medal at a World Championship.
August 19, 2007 Ironman UK Sherborne, United Kingdom This was a
big victory for ISM saddles! Bella Comerford and Hillary Biscay come
through with the 1,2 punch! Race conditions were dreary and led to a 2
hour delayed start in chilly 60 degree waters. Bella had an amazing swim
and exited with Hillary. Comerford would take the lead on mile 20 of the
bike and lead for the next 80 miles. Both girls battled the very
challenging bike course and would come of the bike in 2nd and 3rd
respectfully. After a bit of cat and mouse with some other competitors,
Bella Comerford would win the event in her home country and Hillary
Biscay was elated with 2nd. Way to go Team ISM! Both girls raced
comfortably on their Pink Adamo Road saddles.
August
4-15, 2007 Tour of Portugal ISM explodes onto the European Professional
Road Race scene! David Blanco (Team Duja-Tavira), from Spain
finishes 5th overall in one of cycling’s oldest and most challenging
stage races. The 69th Tour of Portugal was Blanco’s debut
event with his
ISM Adamo Racing saddle. Blanco contacted ISM for a saddle a few
weeks ago as he wasn’t content with other saddles on the market. Of
course we provided him with a white model for his namesake! The Adamo
Racing seat is the perfect match for a time trial bike as it
allows the rider to achieve a more aggressive and powerful position.
Blanco, “felt really comfortable with the saddle”. Afterall, “Adamo” is
Latin for “pleasure”. Look to see more ISM products under the World’s
top road racers.

June 24, 2007 European Long Course Champoinships Brasschaat, Belgium
Bella Comerford came from behind on the swim and made up ground on
the bike and run to finish 4th! Commerford commented, “I gave too much
away on the swim and could not get top three”. She did have the fastest
run split of the day. Important to note the course was actually
shortened the day before the event. She just ran out of real estate.
Great job nonetheless!!
June
20, 2007 Hyvee World Cup Des Moines, IA New recruit, Laura Bennett,
wins the Hyvee World Cup and drives away in a new Hummer truck with a
check for 200k in hand!!! It was a hot and humid Iowa day, and 40% of
the women's field DNF'd. Bennett went on to comment, “It was just my
day, we prepared for this race, and tapered well. And with this
preparation I was able to handle these conditions”. This was Laura's
first event of many on her White Adamo Racing saddle. Dinner's on
you tonight, right Laura?
June
17, 2007 Ironman UK 70.3 England Bella Comerford finishes 4th on her
Pink Adamo Road saddle! The bike course was very hilly with each
lap boasting 3x 14% grade climbs! Bella put her bike decending and
cornering skills to the test and laid down a nice bike split. “It was
great to race in my home country”, and “I had so much support from the
crowds”. Job well done Bella!
June 10, 2007 Tri One O One Clearlake, CA Hills, Hills, and more Hills! And I don’t mean Biscay. Hillary said this was one of the most difficult courses she has competed on. “After this race, no run course would be too shocking” Whew, glad I didn’t compete! Biscay would go on to finish 9th in the event.
May
27, 2007 Ironman Brazil Florianapolis, Brazil Bella Comerford
podiums with a 3rd place finish in this year's event. “I am happy and
frustrated. Happy with my efforts on the bike and run but my swim,
arghhh, pathetic”. Don't be too hard on yourself Bella, we are all proud
of you!! Bella set a Personal Record for the distance of 9:20. After
finishing 3rd in 2006 (Hillary’s first race on an Adamo Racing
saddle), Hill was looking forward to another podium finish. Race day
conditions were near perfect and she would go on to finish the event in
6th place. Biscay did set a bike PR of 5:08 upon her Pink Adamo Road
saddle. Congrats ladies!!

May
6, 2007 Tri One O One Bradenton, FL Two of ISM’s finest were
competing in the inargural distance triathlon. Hillary Biscay finishes
an impressive 3rd and Bella Comerford rounds up the top five. Biscay
went on to comment, “It was a fantastic day for me, as I had a great
sense of satisfaction after a day of really hard racing and I definitely
appreciated being on the podium again”! Biscay was happiest she outran
her teammate Commerford (4x IMFL winner and current ITU Long Course
World Champion). Bella battled with overheating. “I am disappointed to
have felt so horrible during the race, but proud that I actually pushed
through that really hard time and held on to 5th place”, Bella
commented.
April
15, 2007 Ironman Arizona Tempe, AZ Hillary Biscay was the favorite
for the win here in Arizona. She had a smashing swim and gave up little
time to race leader Joanna Zeiger. In fact, her bike leg has become so
strong she was making up ground until mile 40 when she had a puncture.
Unfortunately, it took a little over an hour before race support was
able to fix her tire. Oh well, that’s racing. Never one to quit, Hill
went on to finish the event and impress ISM Saddle owners Steve and
Laura Toll (who were there supporting their athlete).
March 31,2007 Ford Ironman California 70.3 Oceanside, CA Just a training race as Hillary Biscay was in Socal for the week hanging ten with the locals. Nice effort, girl! See ya in Arizona in a couple weeks.
March
18, 2007 Ironman South Africa Port Elizabeth, South Africa Bella
Comerford podiums! It was a long hot day in South Africa and Bella had
an amazing early year result claiming 3rd place. Way to go Bella. Can't
wait to see what the year has in store for you. Comerford is pretty in
her Pink Adamo Road saddle.
March 3, 2007 Ironman New Zealand Lake Taupo, New Zealand This was Hillary Biscay’s 8th IM distance race in 11 months! Are you crazy, Hill! After a strong swim and bike, Biscay was second heading into the run. She had a solid marathon of 3:19 and held on for a 4th place finish!! She’s been putting in some serious bike time in hope of reducing her split. The Adamo Road helps with those long days in the saddle. Biscay added, “I have much work to do before Hawaii, but Taupo did show me that the work I have done is taking me in the right direction”. You bet it is Hill!!
January 16, 2007 Orca Challenge Wanaka, New Zealand This was the first race of the year for Hillary Biscay. A chance to get clear out the cobwebs! The Orca Challenge is an Ironman Distance event and came only 2.5 months after Hillary’s last IM (Florida). She went on to set a course record in the swim and had a solid bike and run, claiming 3rd overall!! Congrats Hillary on the beginning of a great year. Hillary has been using the Adamo Racing saddle since 2006 , but this was her first race on the new PINK Adamo Road.
