Patrick
Vernay wins! Vernay is now a 3X winner of IMOZ. After
exiting the swim, Vernay had some time to make up. He would
eventually motor his way up to a top 3 off the bike and by
mile 13 on the run, pull away from his peers. Patrick won by
over 4 minutes on the next competitor. Keep it up my man.
Sadly, multiple world champ and ISM athlete Michellie Jones
would not start the event due to a nagging leg injury.
Patrick Vernay competed using his Adamo Racing saddle

Here’s an interesting read on the
health
benefits of no nose saddles vs. traditional saddles.

We are pleased to announce the latest recruit from ISM Saddles. Andy Potts has been testing the Adamo saddle line for about 8 weeks. After finishing 2nd in Florida's Miami International Triathlon (by 2 seconds), his decision was final. He will be using the Adamo Road model saddles on his bikes. Andy is a 3X USAT Triathlete of the Year, Olympian, 70.3 World Champion, and Ironman. He'll be racing Cali 70.3 this weekend!
British trio Wendy Houvenaghel (ISM), Joanna Roswell, and Lizzie Armistead defended their title for the gold. Kiwis Alison Shanks (ISM), Lauren Ellis, and Jaime Nielsen finished 2nd for the Silver just 1:06:416 down. Close race, girls.
Shanks won the 3000m Individual Pursuit beating out fellow ISM athlete, Wendy Houvenaghel Silver. Brit Wendy would lead the first 1000m but Shanks kicked in the afterburners and lit up the track for a 1.5 second victory. Congrats to both medal winners. Alison and Wendy both competed using their Adamo Racing Saddle.
ISM new recruit Kirk Nelson proves his worth by taking his first win of the season at the Toyota Desert International Triathlon in La Quinta, CA. Nelson raced using his White Adamo Racing saddle on his new Look. Proud of you Kirk! Keep up the good work.
ISM continues to finish strong in the Ironman circuit. Six year IMNZ champ, Jo Lawn finishes 2nd and newlywed Bella Bayliss (Comerford), finishes 5th. It was a rainy day in Taupo as the competitors began the race. After exiting the water Jo Lawn and 3 other girls would play cat and mouse for most of the bike separated by seconds. Both Lawn and Bayliss had strong bike legs but eventually it would come down to the run. Congrats to both ladies. Strong way to start the year. Jo competed with her Adamo Racing saddle and Bella used the Adamo Road. Also noteworthy was Team TBB/ISM athlete, Lisbeth Kristensen’s 4th place finish. Kristensen powered the bike on her Adamo Racing saddle.
ISM athlete Chris McDonald finished 1st and Hillary Biscay 3rd. View it here http://www.challenge-wanaka.com/youtube.html
Australian Chris McDonald wins the first Ironman
distance triathlon of 2009! After a little trouble, Chris
exited the water 2:30 down from the lead group. He hoped on
his Adamo Racing saddle equipped bike and caught the
group at the 30k mark. McDonald never looked back and would
continue his lead to shatter the course record by 7 minutes
(8:37:41)! Insert pic here
Also noteworthy was American Hillary Biscay’s 3rd
place finish. Hillary had injured her knee just 3 weeks
prior to the event, but decided to race last minute. She
would go on to have a solid race. This is her 3rd podium
spot at Challenge Wanaka in 3 years. Biscay proudly raced
her Adamo Road saddle.
